If Only
If only time can wait for me,
Then perhaps there is a chance between ‘we’.
Perhaps we can be, more than strangers in the sea.
If only there is a pause I can choose
Then perhaps I will not lose.
[Because if such thing exist;]
I will grasp not only the chance to live well;
but I will also open my arms, for the ringing of the church bell.
If only I can make sure I will not run out of time,
Then certainly in love I will always have a rhyme.
If only I can choose you, over a dream
Over a path of life, living in cream
Then perhaps there is a possibility
Of living with you, my destiny
But for now, all of these are nothing but ‘what if’ and ‘can be’
For in the brink of light we both know,
I already choose to flight and let you be.
